GLASS Recruitment
As the Lead Recruiter for NYU’s Global Leaders and Scholars in STEM (GLASS) program, I’ve been dedicated to bridging the gap between the program and the student body. My role involves actively promoting GLASS and its resources to peers and other students on campus, ensuring they are aware of the opportunities the program provides for academic and professional growth.
A significant part of my responsibilities includes mentoring and supporting prospective members of the program. I provide them with guidance on navigating the program, answer any questions they may have, and offer advice on how to make the most out of their experience with GLASS. This has been incredibly fulfilling, as it allows me to help others maximize their potential and feel supported in their STEM journeys.
Beyond mentorship, I’ve focused on building connections with organizations across campus, strengthening collaboration and expanding the reach of the program. I’ve also played a key role in facilitating outreach sessions aimed at first-year students, introducing them to the program and fostering a welcoming environment for them to engage in.
Through this role, I’ve honed my skills in communication, outreach, and mentorship, all while contributing to a program that empowers students to excel in STEM fields.
