NYU Abu Dhabi: CITIES Lab
As an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the CITIES Center for Interacting Urban Networks at NYU Abu Dhabi, I played a key role in leveraging cutting-edge technologies to advance sustainability initiatives on campus. During my six-month tenure, I collaborated with colleagues to develop digital twins—virtual replicas of physical systems—to analyze and enhance campus sustainability efforts.
In this role, I utilized tools such as Unreal Engine, Revit, and MATLAB to integrate sensor data into the digital twin models. This allowed us to simulate various scenarios and gain insights into environmental and resource optimization strategies. My work not only contributed to the project’s technical success but also highlighted the potential of digital twins as innovative solutions for sustainable urban development.
This experience sharpened my technical expertise in multidisciplinary tools while giving me an opportunity to explore practical applications of sustainability-focused technology in real-world contexts.
